WIND/REWIND is an extended conversation between artist Ismaïl Bahri and curator and writer François Piron, conducted between June and September 2025 and introduced by a preface by Morad Montazami. It takes place mid-research, between the artist’s studios in Tunis and Paris.
Starting from wind, sand, breath and paper, the dialogue follows the videos, objects and drawings that grow out of these elements. It touches on gesture, repetition, lack, and the difficulty of cutting and fixing a form.
